The Pleasantville cross country teams gear up for their second competition of the year when they travel Wayne for a meet tonight along with 15 other schools.
Last week at the campus of Iowa State University the Trojan girls placed seventh out of 13 teams. Jordan Dursky had a strong showing finishing 16th and Emmie Kenyon was 23rd. The boys finished 13th and were led by Jeremy Colboth in 113th. Head Coach Aaron Fichter tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he was pleased with the team for the first meet of the year and was really encouraged with Dursky. “She ran two and a half minutes faster than last year and she looked strong. She was right in the mix for a medal and for the first competition I was really happy about that.”
Dursky and company will look to keep the momentum going at 5 p.m. this evening in Corydon.
