Earlier in the season, Terry McCarl was upside down, with fuel pouring all over him and suffering from a concussion after a racing accident at the Knoxville Raceway. Saturday, he was standing in victory lane as a five time 360 Nationals Champion. McCarl took the lead from Carson Macedo on lap 23 of the 25 lap event to get the win. Pole Sitter Joey Saldana led the first four laps, when McCarl got him and led laps 5-16. During that time there two red flag periods one for Jamie Ball and the other for a two car crash in turn one. Macedo would take over the lead on lap 17 and was three laps from making it a story book ending to the 360 Nationals when the track began to take rubber and McCarl found it first. He told KNIA/KRLS Sports he felt good even after letting one slip away last week. Macedo settled for second with Brian Brown in third place. The 305s had a weekly show as well, and Kelby Watt took home his third win of the season as he and runner-up Devin Kline traded the lead eight times in the 15 lap event. Tonight is night four of Southern Iowa Sprint Week and it is the Seventh Annual Weld Racing Capitani Classic with over 60 410 sprint cars from the World of Outlaws, All-Stars, Knoxville weekly drivers, and drivers from around the nation. We will have it on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA with Live Track Side at five and Race Nights Live at seven. R
