With an 18-year tenure with the Pride of Iowa Conference in the rear view, Pleasantville turns their attention to the West Central Conference.
Athletic Director Jeff Cook was on Saturday’s Knoxville HyVee Radio Coaches Corner and he talked about the excitement joining the new league. He tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the positive change it provides for the younger junior varsity programs.
“Most of the schools have good numbers and have the ability to field a full roster at the JV level. We won’t have to worry about having to cancel a JV season and that will allow our younger kids to get more reps.” Cook adds he expects the competition from top to bottom in all sports to be competitive in the league.
The Trojans will officially start in the conference on August 21st when the volleyball team hosts Earlham.
