Numerous Class of 2018 Pella graduates are continuing their careers at the collegiate level when they head to campus this month.
Landon Vander Leest is heading to Northwestern in Orange City to play baseball. Annika Pingel will run track at Doane University in Nebraska. Kaleigh DeWaard is staying in Pella to throw the shot for Central College. Lucas Warner and Reece Schnell will both play football at Dordt, Kinzi Van Wyk plans to play softball at Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, Ethan Poulter takes his soccer skills to Colorado Christian University, Erica Bossard will play soccer at Monmouth in Illinois, Emily Vos is running track at UNI, Paighton Malek will run track for Hawkeye Community College, and Ian Vasina plans to play football at Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Avery Van Zee is also heading to Oshkosh as a track athlete, and Jaden Rolffs is heading to Iowa Western to continue his baseball career.
Pella Christian is also sending their fair share of athletes to the next level. Alex Huisman will be heading to Dordt to join the football program, with Sophie Howerzyl playing volleyball as a defender this year. Kade Vander Molen will rejoin his former teammate Jaden Rolffs at Iowa Western, Colten Uitermarkt will be on the shooting team at Simpson College, Bekah Horstman joins older sister AJ as a hitter for Northwestern College in Orange City, and Hayden Vroom is staying local as he joins the Dutch football team.
