The City of Pella recognized employees for milestone years of service at an annual breakfast Wednesday.
Employees who reached 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 45 years of service earned certificates, with those over 25 years receiving additional gifts. Stephen Bennett was recognized for reaching 45 years with the city, Nathan Sheaffer with streets has been working for 35, and Brenda Ross reached 30 years.
After the employees were recognized, the mayor said a few words for Mary Pommer, the City of Pella’s Personnel Officer (pictured above), who is retiring from her position after over two decades of service with the community.
