We told you over the weekend that Knoxville brought its defense on Friday night against Centerville in the Panthers 27-12 win over the previously ninth ranked in class 2A Big Reds. Defense was defiantly the key as Ben Olson was literally everywhere for the Panthers leading the way with 15 tackles, ten solo, three for loss and one sack. Olson was helped out by Kyle Ramsey’s nine tackles…, even solo, four for loss and one strip sack and recovery. Coach Eric Kellar tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, Ramsey is a key to the defense but also must play some offense and that means managing his time on the field. Not to be outdone, Carter Bailey, our player of the game on Friday and for the week, who had 115 yards on ten carries and two touchdowns offensively, came up eight tackles and seven solo. Knoxville travels to Chariton on Friday.
