No. 6 Pella had little trouble in their matchup with Norwalk last night, winning the road game in straight sets (25-15, 25-17, 25-16).
The Lady Dutch offense made short work of the warrior defense, with just 9 hitting errors on the night, good for a team hitting efficiency of .430.
Emily Holterhaus just committed one of those miscues in a 24 kill performance, with Natalie Clayberg add 10 kills of her own. Kalin Valster, Jenna Schulte, Holterhaus, and Clayberg each had two blocks as well. The Lady Dutch improve to 10-4 and head to the Ballard tournament Saturday.
Pella Christian, despite a close first set, could not find victory at No. 12 in 4A Indianola, as they were swept off of the Indians’ gym (23-25, 13-25, 12-25). Head Coach John Evenhouse says they played well for the first set and a half of the match, before their serving let them down in the second half.
The Eagles fall to 5-9 and face more ranked competition at a tournament in Bondurant Saturday.
