The new vocational agriculture program at Pella Christian High School has been in place for the first month of class.
Principal Dan Van Kooten tells KNIA/KRLS News dozens of students are participating in agriculture classes, and they are engaging in the various subjects during this first full year of the program. Van Kooten says many Pella Christian students made their first ever trip to an FFA event earlier this week as well, participating at an ag judging contest at the Clarke County Fairgrounds in livestock judging, horse judging, dairy judging, and Ag knowledge contests with other schools from the South Central Iowa FFA District.
He says the program has been well received by parents as well, with staff hoping to expand agriculture offerings in the future.
