Auditions are coming up for Knoxville High School’s spring musical; but first, students will get the opportunity to rehearse by going through mock auditions.

Casting for “Little Shop of Horrors” will be done starting November 19th; to help students prepare, a workshop will be held on Saturday, October 27th from 10:00 a.m. until noon at a location to be determined. Students will receive help in picking out materials to use for their audition; each participant will have to do a monologue, and a short selection from a Broadway song.

A second workshop will be held on Saturday, November 10th at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center; auditionees can run through their material and get feedback, and interviews will be done for those looking at a backstage position. Decisions won’t be made based on students’ performance that day.

The actual auditions will be held at the KPAC on November 19th at 6:00 p.m. with callbacks the next evening. Rehearsals start in January, and the show runs March 1st through 3rd.
