One of the two Illinois men arrested last month on charges of stealing TV sets from a Knoxville store has received a prison sentence of up to five years.

Fifty-one-year-old James Crha of Mulkeytown, Illinois entered a guilty plea as part of an agreement with Marion County prosecutors. He admitted trying on September 11th to take television sets out of the Wal-Mart, by having an accomplice leave the sets just past the check-out counters for him to pick up.

By entering the guilty plea, Crha avoids the sentence enhancements which would have been added on as a repeat offender.

Forty-two-year-old Robert Mason of Mulkeytown was arrested and charged as Crha’s accomplice; he’s due in court in Marion County on October 18th.
