New York City has more than its share of Italian restaurants; so it’s somehow appropriate that the Knoxville Music Boosters are raising money for a New York trip with a spaghetti dinner.

The dinner is on Thursday night at the high school from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

It’s the perfect time to be holding the event; parent-teacher conferences are that evening, so families can stay afterwards to eat…and there’s no school on Friday.

Meals are $5 per person; you can get spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and dessert. All proceeds go towards the choir trip.

Meanwhile, another fundraiser for Knoxville High School has been postponed by weather; oddly enough, it’s because the weather has been too good.

Spanish students had been planning on raking leaves Saturday morning, charging by the bag and using the proceeds to fund their trip to Ecuador. But the event has been postponed to November, because not enough leaves have fallen.
