Knoxville played toe-to-toe with Oskaloosa for about a quarter last night but, the Indians scored 21 straight points to take a 28-0 lead at the half and went on to defeat Knoxville 42-6 as heard on KNIA. The Indians held the Panthers to just 120 yards on the ground while getting 346 yards through the air. Coach Eric Kellar pointed the passing game of Oskaloosa as the key to the game. Knoxville was led by Kieren Nichols with nine carries for 52 yards and Knoxville’s only touchdown with less than a minute to go in the game to avert the shutout. Knoxville is now 3-5 on the season and will travel to Newton to end the season next week.
