The Class 3A District 7 championship will likely be decided tonight when No. 3 ranked Pella travels to face Oskaloosa.

Pella, at 6-0, has won five consecutive undefeated district championships, and is seeking number six. Oskaloosa lost in week one to Pella Christian, but since then has railed off five straight wins, and has scored the 6th-most points-per-game in Class 3A at just under 38 per contest.

Head Coach Jay McKinstrey tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the fourth-best in 3A Dutch defense will have their hands full containing a three-pronged Indians attack — Quarterback Cole Henry, Running Back Casey Hill, and slot receiver Tyler Miller.

Miller and Hill have combined to score 22 of Osky’s 29 offensive touchdowns, and Henry has 17 passing scores. Pella has dominated the all-time series at 28-5, and has won the last 13 games since last losing in 2006.

Coverage from tonight’s game is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. on 92.1 KRLS, with kickoff at 6:00 in Osky. Andrew Schneider and Randy Sikkema will call the action.
