After a sluggish start on a slippery, muddy field, No. 9 Pella Christian scored 24 unanswered points heading into halftime, and kept Woodward-Granger at length in a 45-22 win heard live on 92.1 KRLS.

The Hawks hit an 82 yard home run in the 1st quarter, but Pella Christian’s offense eventually found their footing for a 499 yard night.

Head Coach Rich Kacmarynski tells KNIA/KRLS Sports quarterback Dan Jungling and the new center Zach DeVries and the Eagles o-line in front of him were a big key in getting the attack sparked in the 24-point 2nd quarter.

Jungling collected 241 yards passing and 112 yards on the ground with one passing and rushing touchdown, Noah Treimer collected 193 yards of offense and two scores, and Jase Amelse rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns.

Pella Christian is 6-2 overall and a perfect 4-0 in district play, with the outright district title on the line Friday at home against I-35.
