The Pella City Council intends to award contracts for several projects at their meeting this evening.

A resolution will be considered to award a $1.04 million contract for Phase Two of the Pella Sports Park Project with Fields for Our Future, including a provision with the two entities splitting the cost on a 50-50 basis. Public hearings will also be held to review bids for the Brook Circle electric distribution conversion and northside distribution circuit project, as well as numerous asphalt overlays planned for several city streets in the coming construction season. Additionally, the council will review a 28E agreement with Marion County to resurface the Volksweg Trail along Idaho Drive with a proposed cost split, an ordinance amending parking regulations in the Central Business District, and an urban renewal plan for the proposed Webster Park Housing Development on Main Street. Following regular business, the council will discuss a bus loading zone request from Pella Historical Society. Their meeting begins at 7:00 this evening in the Public Safety Complex on Liberty Street.
