While the high school cross country athletes of Pella High School will look to qualify for state this week, the future of the program had a successful Saturday in Ankeny.

Pella’s 7th grade girls won the Class 3A championship, while 8th grader Chase Lauman won the individual 3A title on the boys side. The field included hundreds of athletes from dozens of schools Class 1A to 4A. Tune into the Marion County PM Sports Page on Wednesday to hear from the athletes.
