Pella Regional Health Center is hosting numerous events for Breast Cancer Awareness month. T
his Saturday, the community is invited to celebrate survivors and remember those killed by breast cancer with the annual Pella in Pink 2K walk/run. It begins at 8 a.m. at the Tulip Toren, with registration costing $30 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. Part two of the KNIA/KRLS Breast Cancer Awareness Radiothon will be held at Pella Regional on Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m., with medical professionals and survivors sharing their stories with Dr. Bob Leonard. Paint the Stands Pink will be held at both the Pella and Pella Christian football games on Friday, October 19th, in which fans at both games are encouraged to wear pink to the game.
