The annual Children’s Costume Party and Parade hosted by Indianola Parks and Rec will take place this Saturday on the Warren County Courthouse lawn.

The event will include fall activities such as hayrack rides, trick-or-treating around the square, and a photo booth among many others. Kathy Kester with Indianola Parks and Rec tells KNIA News the event is a ton of fun, and it helps to get there early.

“There is so much to do! All the fun starts at 10am, and to enter the costume contest you need to register between 10 and 11:15am, and the winners of each costume category will win a really cool trophy, with the categories of scariest, cutest, and most creative for everyone to join in on.”

Man’s best friend is also invited to take part, as a dog costume contest and pooch parade is included in the festivities. The Children’s Costume Party and Parade takes place this Saturday from 10-noon.
