One player that seems to have picked up where she left off for the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad from last season is senior Alex Griggs. In Knoxville’s blowout win over Albia on Tuesday, Griggs scored ten points, grabbed three rebounds, gave out an assist, and completed three steals. Griggs is expected to be one of the main scorers this season and Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, once she was able to find her shot, her season last year took off. So far this season, Griggs averages 9.5 points in the first two games while shooting 53% from the field. She also has grabbed seven rebounds and three steals. The Panthers are off until Saturday when they travel to Oskaloosa.
