During the winter months, Indianola Parks and Rec will have an opportunity for young kids to get out of the house with indoor play dates.

Kathy Kester with Indianola Parks and Rec tells KNIA News the holidays are a stressful time, and Parks and Rec wants to make things just a little easier for parents.

“This is for children preschool and younger, who just need to get out of the house and blow some stink off as we say. We have toys that you don’t have room for in your house, and we have a big space that you can just let them run and play and really enjoy themselves. We just want to be that outlet when everyone is getting a little stir crazy from not being able to go outside.”

The play dates are November 28th, December 5th, and December 12th from 10:30 to noon, with each child costing a dollar.
