The Indianola School Board reviewed the concurrent college-credit class list at their most recent meeting, approving the courses available through a partnership with DMACC.

The classes are
available either at Indianola High School or at the DMACC campus. Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News offering college credits is as important as ever.

“Iowa is actually the leader in the nation for college credits earned by high school students and I think it’s something that our families are extremely appreciative of. Of course there is a push now with Future Ready Iowa to get students training beyond high school and many of the jobs available in Iowa are those grey-collar jobs, the high skilled jobs, so we are participating in that.”

Sathoff also said that there are over 70 students taking classes at DMACC, and the school offers the college credit courses at the high school with qualified teachers.
