New window signs were added to the new KNIA studio in Indianola located at 100 E Ashland St. on the downtown square.

Plans are in the works for an open house for the public shortly after the holidays. The new studio houses our news and sports departments covering Indianola and surrounding areas. Our Commitment is to provide local news, sports, and weather coverage first, fast, and accurately.

The Indianola studio also has a production recording studio to put together local business commercials and our advertising and marketing staff also has office space. Marketing Director Ted Feldman says he is pleased with the progress and loves being on the town square, in the middle of the business district.

If you see news happening, contact KNIA Radio, email kniakrls@kniakrls.com, or call locally at 515-962-5979. KNIA Radio is the one to count on for today’s local news and information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

94.3 FM is now on the air, joining 95.3 FM to our Flagship 1320 AM KNIA to continue our coverage of Knoxville and Marion County while expanding to the west to also cover the Indianola and Warren County Area.

Senior General Manager Jim Butler says this is a project that has been in the works for several years and says we are looking forward to providing the same award winning news, sports and weather coverage to that area, while continuing to serve Knoxville and Marion County just as we have in the past and assures listeners in Knoxville and Marion County that the local news and information they have come to expect will continue.

Butler stated that he is proud of the entire staff, as it takes a lot of dedicated and committed personnel who work many hours to provide full service radio broadcasting that KNIA and KRLS are known for. He also wants to thank Mel and Michael Suhr for their continued commitment to deliver the very best in local news and information to all of our listeners. Butler also said that this is just the first phase of this project and that listeners in Marion, Warren County, and surrounding areas can expect more ways to get your local news and information in the coming months.
