An underwriting and placement agent to help handle disposition of the Veterans Administration property has received approval from the Marion County Board of Supervisors.

An engagement letter with D.A. Davidson received approval from the board at its Tuesday morning meeting; this is one of the initial steps involving Knoxville’s plan to redevelop the property for residential or other uses.

The board also approved retaining Calhoun-Burns to help with inspection of the county’s bridges; this agreement would cover 2019 and 2020, and allow the county to keep up with its schedule of inspections.

The board has also authorized the County Engineer to enter into an agreement with HDR Engineering for the Knoxville Area Transportation Location Study. They join the Pella City Council in having granted approval; the Knoxville City Council still has to sign off on it.
