The PCM football team is fresh off of a state title, and the Mustangs hope the same success transfers to the hardwood with a lot of the same players leading the charge.

The Mustangs bring back much of the lineup from a 16-6 squad last season including star football players Andrew Van Ryswyk and Reed Worth. They lead the team a year ago with 12 and 10 points per game, respectively. Head Coach Fred Lorensen tells KRLS Sports while they have had a limited amount of practices due to the deep postseason football run, it’s clear the determined mindset on the gridiron has transitioned onto the court.

“There was great carry over in which they have had a solid attitude and work ethic. We are really excited about this team and there is no question that the positive impact of the football team carried over to the winter sports.”

The Mustangs open the season Friday hosting Saydel. You can listen to the game on the KRLS3 Stream at kniakrls.com.
