The Indianola Community School District is opening a new district administration office, with an expanded school board meeting room included in the plans.

Superintendent Art Sathoff tells KNIA News the new meeting room will not only be beneficial to the public attending the meetings, but will make it easier for the board to conduct business.

“It’s going to be a more comfortable place to watch, listen, and participate. Right now we have an older projector that goes up against the wall right next to where people are sitting, and there is no clear place for people to present to the board. It will also allow the board to sit at the table, not have to turn their heads 90 degrees to talk to everyone and they can converse with other board members and staff more easily.”

A ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for the new administration building on December 10th.
