The PCM girls’ basketball season gets underway today at Newton for a tournament when they face off with Chariton.

The Mustangs will be an experienced bunch this winter, losing no one to graduation from last year’s 7-15 squad. They will have their work cut out for them today, as Chariton went 17-5 last season.

The season gets underway at 12:45 p.m. today in Newton.
