The Lady Dutch basketball team started the season with a dominating 63-37 win over Mt. Pleasant Tuesday night.

Pella opened up a 26 point lead at the half by scoring 27 in the 2nd frame, and maintained that advantage throughout the third and fourth quarters. Senior Sidnie Van Vark scored 15 points with three makes from downtown, including one that lead to a five point play after she was fouled on the floor and tacked on a 1-and-1. Emily Holterhaus scored 11, and Madison Naig and Elly Cairney each tallied 10 points.

The 1-0 Lady Dutch open the home season on Tuesday, November 27th against North Polk.
