The Pleasantville City Council met in regular session Monday. Proceedings started with a public hearing on an amendment to the Pleasantville Urban Renewal area.

Also discussed in a public hearing setting were changes to the city’s donation of an empty lot to Habitat for Humanity. Instead of moving a house onto the empty lot, the organization will now be building a new home once the weather has warmed up.

A $139,000 partial payment to Woodruff Construction for work on construction of a water plant was approved. The project is near completion and may be finished as soon as next week.

Also approved was a $131,000 partial payment for improvements made in Shadle Park. A public information meeting will be held regarding the Jasper Street project December 4th from 5:00-7:00 P.M at the Pleasantville Memorial Hall.
