Indianola residents should expect the construction on Clinton St. to be near completion, with weather delays and other unforeseen obstacles causing delays.

City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News having to cut down power lines as well as some utility lines being located near the street were issues that needed to be dealt with, but the finish line can be seen.

“The remaining work now is to do some improvements on the alleyways, and we are actually going to have some permeable pavers doing that work now so it’s a little more green technology, and that is paid for by a grant by the state.”

A final completion date for the project is still not set in stone, but the intersection of Clinton/First St. has been opened up for north/south traffic.
