Two years, and two state meets for Melcher-Dallas runner J’Lyn Knutson. After a back of the pack finish last year, she improved to 25th this season. Coach Amy Stuart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports both coach and runner learned a lot from last season that they applied all year long. One thing they learned was better offseason training. Stuart adds Knutson went to a running camp during the summer and came back with a better plan for running and nutrition. Knutson hopes to medal in her junior season.
