Warren County Public Health has food safety advice for everyone enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday and weekend.

Director of Warren County Public Health Jodene DeVault tells KNIA News to keep your food stored properly.

“Just be aware that if you have foods out for long periods of time, it is dangerous if they are not kept at the proper temperature. Everyone loves to go back for seconds or a snack later, but keep the food in the refrigerator otherwise you risk getting sick.”

DeVault also said that if you are feeling sick, it can spread very easily at family gatherings with everyone in close proximity, so stay home if you think it can be dangerous.
