Pella Schools Superintendent Greg Ebeling is in Washington D.C. to receive recognition for his efforts in education.

In October 2017, Ebeling was selected as the Iowa Superintendent of the Year by his peers at the School Administrators of Iowa. Ebeling is in D.C. this week to represent the state among the American Association of School Administrators, and tells KRLS News he remains humbled by support he receives throughout the district from staff, administrators, and the board.

“It’s not anything that I do,” Ebeling says. “We’re in a great community, I have great people to work with: our staff, teachers, and support staff really make this district what it is, and so I’m just kind of here to facilitate things and work with people in different ways.”

“It was a nice honor, and I’m very okay closing the chapter of the Superintendent of the Year, because it’s not really my style to sit and talk about that, but it’s been a nice honor and I appreciate the recognition.”
