An agreement covering the repaving of Lincoln Street and its conversion into a three-lane highway is on the agenda for tomorrow night’s Knoxville City Council meeting.

The council will be asked to approve an agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation which covers milling and repaving of Lincoln from the north city limits to the south, as well as upgrading of traffic signals. This is part of the “road diet” plan entered into by the city earlier this year.

The council will also see a preliminary report on its budget for the coming fiscal year; it will lay out the key expenses Knoxville will need to cover, and a timeline for adoption. It must be in to the state by March 15th.

Council members will also discuss and possibly adopt amendments to its zoning ordinances, as well as a request from the Chamber of Commerce.

Monday night’s meeting convenes at 6:15 p.m. and can be heard live on AM 1320/FM 94.3/FM 95.3 KNIA.
