An examination of the At-Risk Program and its budget for the coming year is on the agenda for tonight’s Knoxville School Board meeting.

Board members will have an opportunity to review the handbook which is provided to parents and the general public, outlining how students are determined to be at risk and what steps the school district can take to handle their needs.

The board will also look at the requirements and timeline for implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act; and members will discuss an initial draft of the 2019-2020 district calendar, and set a date for a public hearing on it.

Since the next meeting date falls on Christmas Eve, this will be the only meeting of the month for the School Board; tonight’s meeting convenes at 5:30 p.m.
