Local Girl Scout Troop 324 in Indianola and the surrounding area hosted a Pancake Breakfast with Santa on Saturday at the United Methodist Church, fundraising for local projects and working to earn their Bronze Awards.

The event included programs from local dance studios, as well as the girls helping to make and serve breakfast. The troop, consisting of Carrie Beneke, Brooklynn Sedlock, Clara Etnyre, Hailey Luethje, Bianca DeFino, Mia Fleury, Aubrie Hildenbrand, and Jordan Carter, tell KNIA News their favorite part about being in girl scouts and hosting the breakfast included spending time with their friends, serving breakfast to all the hungry people and seeing the smiles on their faces, and helping to make the world a better place among others.

The Bronze Award is the highest honor a girl scout junior can achieve, and requires a scout to complete a seven step program to make a difference in the world. For the full interview with the scouts and what they are raising money for, tune in to today’s Let’s Talk Indianola.
