The Pleasantville wrestling team gained some steam this week heading into the holiday break.

In their home triangular on Thursday the Trojans split against tough Interstate-35 and Moravia squads. Head Coach Heath Deforest tells KNIA Sports it was the first time this year they featured most of their lineup and he liked what he saw.

“I think we showed our hometown and a few schools what we are capable of. We are obviously not satisfied but we are happy we were able to battle and where we are headed.”

Pleasantville is off for the holiday break returning to action January 5th at PCM.
