While not at the record breaking level of 2017, this year’s Christmas Tour of Homes was another success, according to the Pella Convention and Visitors Bureau. E

xecutive Director Jill Vandevoort tells KRLS News they sold 2501 tickets, as the projected forecast of bad weather likely had some potential guests hold off from making plans to attend. She says the Convention and Visitors Bureau’s main goal in hosting the event is growing the impact of the tourism generated by hundreds of extra visitors in the city.

Vandevoort is also thankful for the support of the homeowners and other volunteers that make the event possible. Next year’s Pella Christmas Tour of Homes will run December 5-7, 2019. The CVB reports three homes are already locked-in as host homes.
