Numerous local football players were highlighted with additional postseason accolades.

The Des Moines Register recently selected their All Iowa teams for fall sports, and numerous PCM and Pella Christian football players were named to those honors.

Class 2A’s team were well represented with the state champion Mustangs, with Quarterback Reed Worth, Offensive Lineman Jace Smith, Defensive Lineman Seth Greiner, and Defensive Back Nick Dredge all picked. Pella Christian’s Nathan De Bruin was named the best kicker in Class 1A.

Brycen Rogers and Wes Cummings received honorable mention for the Mustangs, as did Pella Christian’s Noah Treimer — a category not split up by classes, but instead including all players across Iowa.

Additionally, the Register tabbed PCM’s Greg Bonnett as the state’s coach of the year, leading the Mustangs to a perfect season.
