Colder temperatures means more hazards on the roads including snow and ice, but garbage pickup will still occur despite the extra difficulties.

Sarah Rosenberger with TRM Disposal in Indianola tells KNIA News how to make things as easy as possible for your garbage to be picked up if there is a snowfall.

“The best thing to do is to set your garbage container on a hard level surface, not on a snowbank, and put it out where you would want it put back on the ground. Also, make sure to clear out the snow around the area where the container is set down at, so the driver can collect it safely without having to look for a hidden curb or grate.”

Rosenberger also said any cancellations, delays, or schedule changes in Indianola for TRM customers, can be found on KNIAKRLS.com.
