The Pleasantville basketball teams have their final home game before the holiday break tonight when they host Interstate-35 for a West Central Conference showdown.

The girls are coming off of a 50-21 thrashing of Albia on Saturday and sit at 6-2 on the season. The Trojans have been balanced up and down the lineup led by Taylor Foley, averaging 8.6 points and five rebounds a game. The Roadrunners had a rough start to the season but have won the last two games to move to 2-5 on the year. Carli McCuddin leads them with 7.4 points a contest.

The boys will look to bounce back from a 49-42 loss to the Blue Demons on Saturday. Tagen Douma has led the 2-5 Trojans with 10.7 points a game and Teron Mount averages 10.3 points. Interstate-35 has struggled in the new league with a 1-5 record.

The girls’ game gets underway at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow at Pleasantville High School.
