The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in special session Tuesday evening, discussing the repair of 80th Ave near Norwalk.

The board first heard a statement from county engineer David Carroll about the timeline of working out repairs to the street, which has been in need of work for several years. The engineers office will repair the street over the winter months with cold-weather concrete patching, but the road will need to be closed to all but local traffic. The supervisors approved a speed limit reduction to 25mph, with a full repair of the road planned to take place in 2020. Both the City of Norwalk and Norwalk School District agreed the road is in need of repair, and asked that there be ample notice given if the road is to be fully closed.
