With brisk air returning today, residents are reminded to use caution when wind chills dip below zero.

According to the National Weather Service, air can become dangerous to exposed skin when temperatures typically dip below five degrees above zero, with winds up to 20 miles per hour, as frostbite and hypothermia chances increase the colder it gets.

Warning Coordination Meteorologist Kelsey Angle says they will issue wind chill advisories and warnings when conditions worsen to a dangerous level. Stay tuned to 92.1 KRLS for the latest winter weather information.
