During their most recent meeting, the Indianola City Council discussed their current process of updating the rules of procedure for the city council and their interactions with the public and staff.

City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News these new rules will help clarify how business is conducted in the city.

“The rules are being created by a subcommittee on the council called the administration and policy committee, and they are following the recommended best practices from the Iowa League of Cities. The rules will document interactions and spell out expectations and different types of procedures, and will clear up how business is conducted and what different roles elected officials and employees hold.”
