Instead of playing on Friday and risking cancellation due to an impending winter storm, the Knoxville Basketball Squads have decided to play Friday’s home game with Davis County tonight. The Panthers have two big games against the Mustangs. The girls can clinch no worse than a share for the South Central Conference crown with a win, the boys can stay within striking distance of first place with a victory. Knoxville beat Davis County in the team’s last meeting in Bloomfield in December but Coach Jeff Larson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, Davis County is better and are using their big men more. The Panthers have an advantage of a regulation court, most of the South Central Conference teams do not have in their home gyms. You can hear the call tonight on KNIA along with the Knoxville Hall of Fame induction ceremonies in between games starting with the pre game at 6:15. Those who bought tickets for the induction luncheon on Friday can still go as that event will still happen at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame at noon.
