The Pella City Council will review an ordinance for a planned unit development for the Webster Park Housing Development south of downtown at their meeting this evening.

The zoning change for RDP Holdings would accommodate unique features for the 2.9 acre property spanning over the 400 block of Main and Broadway Streets in Pella, which is currently zoned institutional. Mayor Jim Mueller will also read the oath of office to new Pella Police Officer Kody Roos, and council will hold public hearings conveying property to First Baptist Church, RDP Holdings, and to a property owner at the intersection of Liberty Street and West 4th. A resolution to accept public improvements to the Sunken Gardens Windmill and presentations about the city’s facility needs assessment and the Pella Municipal Airport transition plan are also on the agenda. Following regular business, council will discuss parking in the central business district.

The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
