Widespread snowfall impacted most of south central Iowa after a winter storm dumped moderate to heavy amounts of snow since Friday night.

The following totals were reported to the National Weather Service:

Pella – 8″
Knoxville (1 mile NNW of downtown) – 5.5″
Indianola – 7.3″
Bussey – 11″
Melcher-Dallas – 6.5″

A tow ban remains in place for Marion County until further notice. Snow ordinances are in effect in Pella, Knoxville, and Indianola as well. Travel will likely remain difficult until tomorrow.
