In the midst of their second time around West Central Conference competition, the Pleasantville basketball teams seek revenge tonight when they host Earlham.

The girls (8-6) struggled to find any rhythm offensively back on December 7th when they fell to Earlham on the road 36-24. The Trojans most recently lost to ACGC on Friday 44-34 but head coach Aaron Fichter tells KNIA Sports he feels the team is really close to breaking out.

“We have taken steps. ACGC is going to be in the top half of the conference and we are right there. We have to be able to clean up enough to finish these types of games.”

The Cardinals are 8-6 on the season. In the boys’ game Earlham won the first matchup 59-46. The Trojans are trending upward however, winning their last three games including a Tagen Douma game winner with seconds remaining to down ACGC on Friday. The Cardinals come into the contest 8-4.

The girls’ game gets underway at 6 p.m. tonight with the boys to follow at Pleasantville High School.
