Saturday marks the final full day of Tulip Time in Pella, and the 75th annual event is expected to close out with a big bang – or at least the thunder from over 5,000 wooden shoes. Saturday will no doubt be highlighted by the setting of a world record for Dutch dancing in wooden shoes, which will line up in Pella’s Central park at 10:00 a.m. and begin promptly at 10:30. There will also be performances by the Dutch Family Singers and Bob Ralston’s Theatre Organ Concert at 10:30 a.m. as well, with Ralston performing in the Pella Opera House.

The afternoon parade will again start at 2:30 p.m., while the Central College Flying Pans steel drum band will perform at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., also at the Opera House. The Lighted Parade will run for the final time at 8:30 p.m., with a 9:30 p.m. performance by the Nadas on the Tulip Toren Stage closing out the festivities for Saturday.
