Snowfall over the weekend caused accidents around Marion County.

Chief Dan Losada of the Knoxville Police Department says three crashes took place within Knoxville city limits Saturday and Sunday. In Pella, police and emergency crews responded to 10 accidents and a hit and run reported at Mowbility from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., each related to slick roads caused by snow. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to 14 accident calls, 11 property damage only, two unknown injuries and the hit and run. Law enforcement throughout the KNIA/KRLS listening area reminds drivers to take care when driving in winter conditions and to budget more time to reach their destinations than they would usually need.
