Three celestial events will come into focus Friday night as an eclipse, a full moon and comet will all be visible from Iowa on the the same night.

Knoxville High School Science teacher and avid astronomy enthusiast Ryan Richardson tells KNIA/KRLS News the eclipse will help residents view the night sky with more clarity. The dimming of the moon due to the eclipse will help other parts of the night sky come more into focus. The eclipse and full moon will only be in view on Friday night but the comet, named 45P should be in the night sky for close to a month.
